The Record Crate isn’t offered right now. These terms apply only while it is; nothing below is in effect for anyone today.
Terms version 2026-10-19 v3
These terms cover the Record Crate, a subscription plan from Collect Company, LLC. (“Collect Co.”). They sit alongside our Terms of Service and our Shipping page. The Record Crate changes how your purchases ship, not how you pay for them.
The plan
Record Crate · a month — one box every 30 days with the records you have bought and paid for, up to 50 records a month. CDs and 45s ride too, each counting as one record; everything else on your invoice ships the week you buy it, at the regular shipping rates.
Record Crate · two boxes · a month — the same, with a box every 14 days.
For the current plan prices, see the rates page: Shipping rates.
Your plan renews automatically every 30 days until you cancel. Cancel any time in one click from My Account → Record Crate; your paid period runs out and your shelf ships on your last crate day. We do not refund the period you have paid for. We let you know before any change to the price or terms, and you can cancel first.
In plain English
- Renewal. Your plan renews every 30 days at its plan price until you cancel: for the Record Crate, for two boxes — see the rates page: Shipping rates.
- Cancel. Cancel any time in one click at My Account → Record Crate. Cancelling stops future charges; your current paid period stays yours and your shelf ships on your last crate day.
- Refunds. We do not refund a period you have already paid for. Periods you have paid for are never lost.
- Early or second box. Ask us any time (My Account → Messages) and your crate ships on the next ship day; your next crate day moves to 30 (or 14) days from that shipment. A second box inside the same window ships at the posted shipping price.
- Cap. Up to 50 records a month. Over the cap, the extra waits for your next crate or ships now at the posted price if you ask.
- What ships in the crate. Records, CDs and 45s; each CD or 45 counts as one record toward the 50. Everything else on your invoice (tapes, cards, comics, photos, books, magazines, box sets, posters, collectibles and big or heavy things) ships the week you buy it, at the regular shipping rates.
- Where. The Record Crate ships to the lower 48 states; elsewhere, message us first. Checkout asks for a U.S. shipping address. A sign-up whose shipping address is in Alaska, Hawaii, a U.S. territory or an APO/FPO/DPO is cancelled at once and the payment refunded in full; you will get an email saying so.
- Items. Items are still paid weekly on your regular invoice. Only paid items go on your shelf.
- Payment failure. If a renewal payment fails we will retry and email you. Your crate holds while we wait. If the plan ends unpaid, your shelf ships at the posted shipping price.
- Changes. We let you know before any change to price or terms; you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Switching plans. Upgrade any time; you are credited for the unused part of your month. Downgrades take effect at the end of your paid period.
- Cutoff. Requests before 9 am Central on a weekday count for that day’s shipping.
- Who. One Record Crate per customer account.
“The posted price”, “the posted shipping price” and “the regular shipping rates” are the prices on our Shipping rates.
Your agreement and our records
Before you start, you tick a box beside the plan’s price agreeing to the amount, its renewal every 30 days and these terms, and you accept them again on the secure payment page. We keep a record of that agreement — the date, the plan and the terms version you were shown — with your account, and we email you a confirmation with how to cancel.
